Care
With proper care, your Beacon Street shoes will only get better with time. We recommend that you regularly clean, condition and from time to time polish the uppers so that the leather does not dry out and maintains its luster. Over time, each pair will take on a character all its own.
Allowing your shoes to "rest" for at least one day will prolong their life and they will feel fresh and supportive when you put them on. Store them with shoe trees and all the better! They help absorb moisture and keep the shape of the upper when you are not wearing them.
As with any pair of high quality leather shoes, we recommend that you take your Beacon Street shoes to a skilled cobbler when the outsole and heel are nearing the end of their useful life. However, do not wait too long! Excessive wear may make it difficult or more expensive to repair, especially if the outsole wears all the way through.
We believe that high quality, classic shoes that can be resoled and refurbished from time to time is the best way to keep unnecessary waste from the landfill. Beacon Street shoes will get better over time and with care and maintenance, will last for years.
